About The Event

This class is at a time suitable for women in USA and Canada, Central and South America, as well as the UK, Europe and the Middle East. If you are in South East Asia, Japan or Australasia, please join the APRIL classes.

Join Petra Coveney - creator of Menopause Yoga, for a 60 minute live online afternoon class from 3pm-4pm UK timezone. This class includes gentle somatic movement, restorative yoga and CBT tools designed to calm anxiety and alleviate fatigue. Consult your doctor is you have a medical condition.

Non-specific Anxiety, panic attacks and fatigue, partly due to broken sleeping patterns, are common symptoms of the perimenopause to menopause transition and can continue into post menopause. This mid-afternoon class can give you a welcome reset for your nervous system: a Meno -Pause to recharge your batteries and help you through your day.

In this class, Petra will check in with the people in the zoom room beforehand, offer generalised advice and guidance, and share easy to learn yoga, breathwork and meditation technqiues that you can practice at home. She will also intrduce you to some simple Cognitive Behavioural strategies that are recommended by the British Menopause Society for anxiety.

This class is open to beginners and poses can be modified for people with common injuries and conditions.

Please note that due to the class being online, one to one adjustments can not be made so you are expected to take responsibility for your own safety and wellbeing.

What you will need:

1x yoga mat

2x blankets (for comfort and keep you warm in relaxation poses).

1x yoga bolster or 2x firm bed pillows.

1-2x yoga blocks or bricks.

1x yoga strap, Pilates band or any belt you have at home.

Optional:

Weighted eye bag

Pen and paper.

Glass of water.
