About The Event

Join Petra Coveney - founder and creator of Menopause Yoga™  for a live in person Teacher Training course hosted at 

State yoga Studio, Highgate, North London.

Dates: Monday to Friday from 10am-5pm September 4th,5th,6th,7th,8th.

Fees: £495.00 including professional accreditation, digital training workbook, in-person training 5x days with Petra Coveney and graduate benefits.

Not included: Your accommodation, travel and other expense, books and other learning materials. You will need to print out the training workbook.

This live in studio course includes 30 hours of mandatory contact time with Petra and other trainees, plus 10 hours of online study using a guided learning platform with pre-recorded webinars, yoga classes and a wealth of menopause expert guest speaker talks.

Trainees are assigned a study buddy to practice teaching and are encouraged to join FREE live online Menopause Yoga classes with Petra and members of the public. You are also invited to join a supportive Whats App group for your trainee group where we can share info, news, articles - and chat!

This 40 hour course is fully accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Graduates receive a free package of post course support including marketing, social media, a Directory listing, newsletters and CPD talks to stay well informed.

The course covers:

  • What is the menopause from a western medical pespectove.
  • What are the main symptoms and what causes them?
  • Why do some women suffer more than others?
  • Medical solutions including HRT/ MHT.
  • Nutrition, Herbal remedies, Complimetary therapies.
  • What is the menopause from an eastern holistic perspective: ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.
  • ~What is Menopause Yoga?
  • Specific classes for Hot Flushes, Menorage and irritability, anxiety and opverwhelm, insomnnhia and fatigue, low mood and lethargy, building strong bones and muscles and a healthy heart.

The course also includes self study, Journal writing, teaching practice live in studio and coursework: creating a 3 hour workshop plan and a 90 minute class.
