Wales Welcomes Menopause Yoga

Tramshed Studio in Cardiff becomes first yoga studio to host MY Teacher Training and women's workshop in Wales.

MY is delighted to be partnering with Tramshed Yoga Studio in Cardiff to bring Menopause Yoga to Wales. There will be a 3-day intensive Menopause Yoga Teacher Training course in July on Thursday 9th, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th (2020), followed by a Menopause Yoga & Wellbeing Day Retreat on Sunday July 12th for women who are going through menopause.

Tramshed is an independent yoga, dance movement & wellbeing studio in the heart of the Cardiff community that was founded by yoga teacher Helena Markovic-Buck, in 2017.

It is a beautiful, light and spacious studio, which is set within the iconic Grade-II listed Tramshed building that was once the old tram depot and now hosts live music, a cafe bar, and a bespoke cinema. Www.tramshedstudio.com

Helena Markovic-Buck wanted to create a space for yogis, dancers and movement practitioners in Cardiff, where students and teachers alike can feel relaxed, comfortable and inspired.

Helena says: “I am thrilled that Tramshed Studio will be the first yoga studio to bring this new Menopause Yoga training to Wales. I respect and value the work that Petra is doing to promote Menopause Yoga awareness and I am really looking forward to assisting her in the delivery of this vital training and development to the Welsh yoga community. We'll be adding Menopause Yoga to our class timetable too.

"Yoga can support women through all stages of life and and I am really excited that, through this in-depth training, we will be equipping teachers with the knowledge and skills to be able to go out and better support women during this stage of life so they feel informed, empowered and connected.”

Also assisting on the MY women's workshop is Karen Mackinnon, graduate from the UK's first teacher training courses, launched in 2019.
