NEW Menopause Yoga Teacher Training courses for 2020

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

Following the success of the UK's first Menopause Yoga (MY) teacher training courses in 2019, and to meet the demand from teachers, I am launching MORE courses in MORE locations in 2020.

It was humbling to see so many teachers travelling long distances from all corners of the UK including Scotland, Wales, Midlands, North West, East, London an the South West to attend the MY Teacher Training. We even had teachers flying in from Brazil - and requests from teachers in the USA, Canada, Dubai and Greece.

So, to save the expense of teachers' travel, I will be taking MY Teacher Training and public Workshops out to teachers across the UK to Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester, London, Stratford Upon Avon, Sussex and Kent - and I hope to find a studio in Ireland too. If you'd like me to travel abroad, please get in touch.

This course is the first of its kind in the UK and is accredited by both the British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance Professionals. It is listed as a NEW BWY Weekend Module and as a 40 Hour TT by Yoga Alliance. As a new course, the BWY sent a quality assurance inspector, to check on the standard of teaching, content and delivery. This is what he said:

"You are a great teacher and I could clearly see how much the students were getting out of the course. Well done for putting such a good programme together. Really great feedback, very positive."

This is what the teachers on the course said in their feedback.

Course management and effectiveness:

"Perfect"; "All perfect. Nothing wrong. Even exceeded expectations."

"Excellent; "I think it was wonderfully managed. Well planned, strong pacing, but necessary."

"Time management over 3 days was perfect."

All Perfect. Nothing wrong. All well organised."

What did you like most about the course?:

"Coming together with all the women and the sharing together."

"That it contained both yogic (Ayurvedic) information plus scientific western information"

"The knowledge of the teacher and the sharing with other students."

"Knowledge, yoga toolkit, women's support, fun...so many things."

"So much attention to detail, knowledge, resources, small group, very empowering

"The small, intimate group."

General Comments:

"Thank you Petra, I am truly grateful."

"Really loved it, very informative."

"I just loved it! Petra many thanks for sharing your knowledge and starting this new generation of women's support."

In 2020 there will be a range of NEW Teacher Training 3-day courses to choose from.

These include yoga studio-based courses, Dr Louise Newson's Menopause & Wellbeing Centre and a residential retreat in two countryside locations with the benefit of talks and demonstrations from an expert menopause nutritionist.

The cost of all courses includes an MY Handbook, accreditation from Yoga Alliance - and British Wheel of Yoga for BWY members, post-course support and listing on the MY website.

If you are unsure about whether to sign up for the training, come on a day workshop to find out more.
